This is a living document that defines the key concepts of “habitability”, “socioecological systems” and “social tipping points”, which will serve as the conceptual and methodological basis to conduct empirical fieldwork within the HABITABLE project. These concepts were discussed during a virtual workshop held in early February 2021 with HABITABLE researchers from ULiège, UNEXE, UNIVIE and ULUND.
HABITABLE aims to significantly advance our understanding of the current interlinkages between climate impacts and migration and displacement patterns, in order to better anticipate their future evolutions.
