A presentation of the buoy was carried out by the present French (IRD, Sorbonne Université, CNRS) and Senegalese (LPAOSF, CRODT, ANACIM) scientists involved in HABITABLE to a representative of the fisherman community (Mr Mamadou Sadji, vice-coordinator of the local Council of artisanal fishery of Joal-Fadiouth city) and three Senegalese journalists.
HABITABLE aims to significantly advance our understanding of the current interlinkages between climate impacts and migration and displacement patterns, in order to better anticipate their future evolutions.
