Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC)

Pablo is a Research Associate at the International Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC) and focuses on internal displacement associated with slow-onset environmental change and disasters. He is also a PhD candidate at Deusto University. His PhD research, closely associated to IDMC’s Thematic Series on urban displacement, focuses on the role of humanitarian aid in informal settlements. Pablo holds a master’s degree in International Humanitarian Action (NOHA+).

He has previously worked in Colombia with the Horizon 2020 project Preparedness and Resilience to address Urban Vulnerability (PRUV).

He is from Zaragoza and has lived in Bogotá, Bilbao, Dublin and Groningen. He is a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English.

In HABITABLE, Pablo will be supporting the development of the literature review for WP1 (task 1.1) to facilitate the development of a conceptual model on tipping points (D.1.1). He will also assist in the design of the longitudinal survey (Task 1.2, D1.2), provide expert advice and support as needed during data collection, and support subsequent data analysis.
