Fanny Petitbon is an NGO professional with over 12 years of experience in programming and advocacy. Fanny has been leading CARE France’s advocacy work, with a focus on climate change, gender equality and humanitarian crises since 2013. Most notably, Fanny sits on the CARE International delegation joining the international climate negotiation sessions under the UNFCCC since 2014. She has played a key role in developing and disseminating CARE and joint NGO evidence-based advocacy papers, met with a wide range of country delegates and undertook significant media work on the issue. Thanks to such efforts, CARE convinced many national delegations and NGO partners to focus on the need to scale up support for adaptation in the Global South and to ensure a rights-based approach (human rights, gender equality) to climate action. Fanny Petitbon holds a Bachelors in political science and a Masters of Arts in Women, Gender and Development.
In HABITABLE, Fanny Petitbon will lead on tasks undertaken by CARE related to policy recommendations (WP8) and policy advocacy (WP12), mobilizing her skills and experience to influence development policies and processes in Europe and internationally.
HABITABLE aims to significantly advance our understanding of the current interlinkages between climate impacts and migration and displacement patterns, in order to better anticipate their future evolutions.
