Dr. Pedro Monreal

UNESCO

Programme Specialist in the Social and Human Sciences Sector of UNESCO, at Headquarters (Paris), since 2013. Previously worked as Programme Specialist in the UNESCO Kingston Office for the Caribbean (2008-2013). Twenty-six years of experience as university professor and researcher before joining UNESCO (Center of Research on the International Economy from the University of Havana and Centre for Research on the Americas, in Cuba). Co-author with John Crowley of the Working Paper “Migration in 2030 development theory and practice. A contribution from UNESCO Social and Human Sciences Sector” (2016) prepared in the context of the MOST Programme Initiative on Migration. Author of “Migraciones y remesas familiares: veinte hipótesis sobre el caso de Cuba”, Revista Economía y Desarrollo, Vol. 133, Núm. 3 (2003), Universidad de La Habana.

In Habitable, he will support tasks 9.1 and 9.2
