Dr. Alban Lazar

The French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD)

Alban Lazar is an expert oceanographer and climatologist, affiliated to LOCEAN-IPSL, Sorbonne University and the French National Research Institute for Sustainable Development (IRD). Alban is a specialist in the West African marine area, collecting measurements, and using them with back up from ocean models.

In HABITABLE, he will lead the work on the aid to decision tool for Senegal artisanal fishermen (task 6.2), and collaborate in the modeling phase associated to Dakar fishermen (WP3).

HABITABLE aims to significantly advance our understanding of the current interlinkages between climate impacts and migration and displacement patterns, in order to better anticipate their future evolutions.
