Ethiopia
Addis Ababa University is the oldest and the largest university in Ethiopia. Since its inception in 1950, it has been the leading centre in teaching-learning, research and community services. As the leading university in Ethiopia in terms of staff profile and global partnership, the University aims to produce competent graduates, provide need-based community services and undertake problem-solving research to foster socio-economic development of the country. In collaboration with national and international academic and research institutes, Addis Ababa University conducts research that proactively responds to the national demand of generating and disseminating new knowledge and skill. The recently adopted research policy of the University advocates interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary as well as thematic research approach.
HABITABLE aims to significantly advance our understanding of the current interlinkages between climate impacts and migration and displacement patterns, in order to better anticipate their future evolutions.
