Elodie Hut holds a Master’s degree in Humanitarian Action and Law from the Institute of International Humanitarian Studies of Aix-en-Provence (France), as well a second Master’s degree in International Relations from Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence. Prior to joining the Hugo Observatory, Elodie worked at the UNHCR and the IOM in South Africa, for GIZ in Senegal, and in a Disaster Risk Reduction consultancy firm in South Africa, performing tasks ranging from project management and development to M&E, as well as research and capacity building. Her research interests include disaster risk reduction and resilience, the migration-adaptation nexus, and migration governance.
Currently, Elodie is conducting her PhD at the Hugo Observatory, in the framework of the MAGYC project. She previously worked as a Research Assistant within the Hugo Observatory, where she supported the daily activities of the EDGE project and conducted research for the MIGRADAPT project. She joins the HABITABLE project as a member of the Hugo Observatory research team.
HABITABLE aims to significantly advance our understanding of the current interlinkages between climate impacts and migration and displacement patterns, in order to better anticipate their future evolutions.
