About

The third interdisciplinary conference on internal displacement organised by IDMC took place on 24 October 2022. The conference brought together humanitarian and development practitioners, policymakers and donors and explored new insights and successful approaches in the prevention of and solutions to disaster displacement.

The conference highlighted progress made on enhancing understanding of the drivers, impacts and risks of disaster displacement, showcasing good practices that have led to positive outcomes and drawing attention to gaps that still need to be addressed. In this occasion, IDMC also presented its first-ever report on disaster-related internal displacement in the Asia Pacific region, published in partnership with the Asian Development Bank and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
